Immersive device for stimulation and perceptual plasticity

Prisms explores perceptual stimulation built on a gradual progression from slowness to intensity.

This progression prepares the nervous system in stages before increasing the sensory load. Variations in colour, rhythm and shape gradually intensify, simultaneously engaging several circuits of perception and attention.

The convergence towards a centre, combined with the rapid juxtaposition of contrasting images, produces a dense perceptual scan. The usual reference points are constantly being recomposed. This controlled instability engages cerebral plasticity: the brain adjusts, reorganises and reconfigures its integration patterns in response to sensory saturation.

In this context, the protocol allows the viewer to formulate an intention internally. Perceptual intensification and sustained focus promote increased communication with subconscious dynamics. The intention, maintained in this state, can become more deeply ingrained and guide the internal organisation of the experience.

The luminous and rhythmic saturation temporarily alters the ordinary perceptual state. Perception is renewed through density and accumulation, revealing the brain's ability to remodel itself under the effect of intense and structured stimulation.

The series includes Prisms Red and Prisms Green, two versions based on an identical double-symmetry structure. Their green/red chromatic inversion activates a process of reading and counter-reading, engaging visual memory and reinforcing the brain's adaptive dynamics. Plasticity becomes one of the central axes of the device.
