Real-life experiences

These testimonies reflect the diversity of people’s experiences. Each one reveals a unique perspective. Recorded immediately after the event, using video footage, they capture the experience as closely as possible to how it was actually lived, before memory has a chance to alter certain details. The questions, phrased in an open-ended manner, do not steer the narrative and allow the experience’s true nature to emerge. The accounts presented here are taken from video recordings available on my website, under the ‘Testimonials’ tab.

They are part of a two-part artistic installation: the first, Focus Yellow, combines a video and a light projection to be experienced with eyes closed; the second takes the form of a gestural performance, beginning with a collective magnetic gesture, then continuing individually with each participant placed in front of me.
