‘Reflections on sustainable construction’ 2013, Sustainable concrete with matt and gloss varnish finish 1% ARTISTIQUE IUT, SAINT-NAZAIRE. Budget: €43,800 This project is part of research into building materials at the IUT in Saint-Nazaire. This work is based on the design of environmentally friendly architecture. The project aims to encourage reflection through the concepts of sustainable development, innovation and conviviality. On either side of the footbridge, simple shapes made of ‘sustainable’ white concrete emerge. Each of these structures is organised around a tree, with nature as the foundation of the work. The technology of ‘sustainable’ concrete, which is self-cleaning and pollution-reducing, is linked to the objective of preserving the environment. These blueprints for future houses become tables and benches in the spirit of garden furniture.…
